An easy drive from our Cranberry, PA apartments is a lively destination that's two parts farmers market, one part weekly festival.
It's called the Bloomfield Saturday Market, and visitors can shop on Saturdays through November 2nd.
The market focuses on locally grown and handmade goods, and vendors include:
CITY GROWS
City Grows is an organic garden and gift shop. Established in 2014, the owners make sure everything they do is healthy, natural, and sustainable. They offer certified organic plants and use recycled and repurposed items when possible. The small plants are perfect for both indoor and outdoor spaces. Shoppers also find a selection of essential oils and organic skincare products.
FALLEN ASPEN FARM
Jake and Desiree have been farmers for more than a decade. They started homesteading in the backwoods of Harmony when they planted berry bushes and fruit trees. The couple established the Fallen Aspen Farm in 2012, and the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy quickly awarded them with a long-term agricultural land lease within the Plain Grove Fens Natural Area. Jake and Desiree added animals and now offer meat to home cooks and restaurant chefs. Choices include country ribs, ham steaks, and rope sausages.
PAUL FAMILY FARMS
William Paul began homesteading Paul Hollow in 1865. Today, the Paul family's fourth, fifth, and sixth generations are found on the land. They enjoy bringing their farm to your table and focus on producing small-batch, wood-fired Pennsylvania maple syrup. They're looking to venture into honey production, and enjoy chatting with shoppers at the market. Along with the syrup, other products include maple jalapeno salt and Mary Mac golden oat pancake mix.
