A unique work of art is a great way to add a conversation piece to any home.
If you are looking for an original design, head to the James Gallery.
It's an easy drive from our Cranberry Woods apartments and is found inside a former horse stable that has been renovated to offer a new look with an old charm.
The gallery is known for featuring the unexpected, and artists include:
ELIZABETH WHYTE SCHULZE
Elizabeth Whyte Schulze is a basket artist who uses paint, handmade paper, and gel to bring her creations to life. She's inspired by her travels and has visited everywhere from the Australian outback to the petroglyph sites of the American southwest. Elizabeth strives for each basket to be visually challenging and personally satisfying.
MICHAEL MADIGAN
When Michael Madigan began painting, he was influenced by European artists. His work has evolved, and trips to England, Italy, and Spain have greatly influenced the character of his works. Today, Michael's colorful paintings explore the nature of memory and how it is changed by time.
THOMAS MCNICKLE
Thomas McNickle is a landscape painter who works both in the studio and on location. His ideas come from his understanding of the woods, fields, and marshes he has known since childhood. Thomas is an elected member of the Pittsburgh Watercolor Society and has won over 25 medals at juried exhibitions across the country.
The staff is experienced and passionate. They enjoy chatting about the different artists and helping visitors find the perfect pieces for their homes. The gallery is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
