Yoga dates back centuries, and today its enjoyed by approximately eleven million people across the United States.
If you're looking to elevate your mind and body, a great route is through yoga. Luckily, there are a variety of great studios in the Cranberry area.
Here are a few favorites:
SALT POWER YOGA
At Salt Power Yoga, the instructors love a simple, powerful flow set to a rhythm of breath. This means many of the classes are sweaty and push students to their limits. The studio offers a friendly, non-judgmental atmosphere, and all skill levels are welcome to join the fun. Sessions include Restorative, Warm Flow, and Power Flow Basics.
If you're looking for something a little different, try the Happy Hour classes on Friday nights. They're set to music, and all proceeds are donated to the charity of the month. A five dollar donation is recommended, and what's in your water bottle is up to you.
AMAZING YOGA
Voted the "Best Yoga Studio" by readers of Pittsburgh City Magazine, Amazing Yoga offers a powerful experience accompanied by a quieting of the mind. Students can make the classes as challenging as they'd like by lessening the intensity or increasing the level. The instructors have more than 100 hours of training, and they enjoy getting to know their students on a personal level. Sessions include Basics, Yin, and Amazing Hip Hop Flow.
STRAY DOG YOGA STUDIO
Stray Dog Yoga takes pride in its friendly, supportive community that has been growing since the first class. The studio was designed to support deep breath and intense focus, and the unique floor eases the pressure on one's joints. All athletic abilities are welcome, and the Vinyasa Level 1 &2 sessions feature targeted warm-ups and carefully sequenced standing postures.
